National Submarine Memorial (East)

In June 1963 the conning tower, fairwater, and periscopes of the USS Flasher (SS 249) were given by the Navy to the U. S. Submarine Veterans of World War II and they were used to establish a memorial.  On September 28, 1974 the memorial was moved to its present location.
